Re: D. Michael Linihan/September 27 Seminar
Dear Friends:
I am thrilled to announce that Mike Linihan recently joined our Firm and that we are offering a previously unscheduled Legal Update Seminar on September 27, 2006 that I hope you will attend. Mike is one of the premier labor and employment lawyers in the country. Enclosed is a copy of a recent St. Louis Business Journal article about Mike and our Firm. I am anxious for you to meet Mike and to get an opportunity to work with him so that you can share our enthusiasm that he is now a part of our Firm.
The Legal Update Seminar will be an excellent opportunity for you to interact with Mike and the other lawyers in the Firm, including Bill Lawson and Chris Sanders who have joined us since our last Seminar. Please plan to attend and mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 27, 2006 from 7:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at a new location - the Holiday Inn Southwest/Viking Conference Center, located off Highway 44 at 10709 Watson Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63127.
As before, we will begin with a continental breakfast and registration from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and a general session lasting until 9:30 a.m. The general session will be followed by breakout sessions on various labor and employment law topics, including: the popular Stump the Chump where you have an opportunity to ask our panel of legal experts your questions; an Employee Benefits version of Stump the Chump; our NLRB update for those faced with incumbent Unions or faced with potential union organizing; an Employment Discrimination Strategy breakout including a discussion of Employment Practices Liability Insurance (“EPLI”); and our always educational and vibrant FMLA/ADA and worker’s compensation presentation. You will have the opportunity to attend two breakout sessions, or the FMLA, ADA and Worker’s compensation session that based on popular demand has been extended to an hour and a half. We will then reconvene as one large group to answer remaining questions and will be finished at 11:45 a.m.
You are encouraged to invite individuals from your company and individuals from other businesses that you feel will benefit from our Seminar. As part of our continued commitment to provide value added services to our clients, the Seminar is offered at no charge. Attorneys will receive Missouri CLE credit.
If you are interested in attending, it is important that you register and let us know if anyone else from your company will accompany you. Please complete the attached registration form and return it via facsimile to (314) 746-4848 or by email to sleonard@lowenbaumlaw.com by September 8. We certainly hope you can attend and look forward to seeing you on September 27. Please contact me with any questions you may have.
Very truly yours,
R. Michael Lowenbaum
