We pride ourselves on establishing long term client
relationships through providing our clients the
highest quality legal services at the best possible
cost. We also take advantage of our unique management
structure to be nimble and creative when it comes to
structuring non-traditional fee arrangements with our
clients.
We find that client interaction and input is necessary
to make sure that both parties are treated fairly when
establishing non-traditional fee arrangements. Most of
our engagements are established utilizing a
traditional hourly rate structure, however, following
are descriptions of some of the non-traditional fee arrangements
that we have implemented with our clients from time to
time:
In exchange for a client paying an agreed upon fixed
monthly amount specifically identified personnel
(typically corporate counsel and HR personnel at
various facilities) place an unlimited number
of calls to our attorneys for counseling on all
HR-related issues not limited to hiring
and firing decisions, FLSA, FMLA and other similar
issues. The fixed fee would cover all calls
(regardless of number) related to matters that can
be resolved in one hour or less. We track the time
spent on these matters for each client and if in any
matter the actual costs are less than the agreed
upon fee we charge the lower amount actually
incurred. If any one of
these matters involves more than 1 hour of
counseling then the matter would be treated as a
routine matter and all time in excess of one hour
would be billed utilizing our standard fees.
For certain matters we would establish a flat hourly
rate to be charged to a client for services
rendered. This flat rate would be applicable no
matter which attorney at The Lowenbaum Partnership
provides the services.
We are also willing to perform certain routine and
repetitive services (i.e., preparation of EEOC
position statements) on a fixed fee basis.
We routinely enter into short and long-term employee
and/or managment training arrangements with clients on a flat
fee basis.
We have also offered discounted rates to clients as
their utilization of our services increases.
We are open to other structures and arrangements
that allow for a long term, value added partnering relationship
with our clients.
