ST. LOUIS (Nov. 14, 2014) – The Lowenbaum Partnership, LLC, recognized by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers as a “Best Law Firm,” announced today that labor, employment and civil rights defense attorney Heidi L. Eckert is joining the firm immediately. Eckert is joining the The Lowenbaum Partnership from Clayborne, Sabo & Wagner, Belleville, IL, where she was a founding partner.
Focused in the area of labor law, employment law and civil rights defense, Eckert is actively involved in all aspects of litigation and has arbitrated and mediated numerous matters, as well as tried cases in both state and federal courts.
Eckert helps employers handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, disability and retaliation claims. In addition to litigating labor and employment matters, Eckert helps employers avoid litigation by advising them on employee issues including discipline, discharge and reasonable accommodation of disabilities.
For her civil rights practice, Eckert has handled matters involving a number of violations, many involving 42 U.S.C. Section 1983 claims as well as violations of Title IX.
Since 2006, Eckert has held an appointment as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Madison County, IL. She received her B.A. from the University of Missouri and her J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law.
